Department: Insurance Processing Salary: DOEHours:Full time, daysLocation: Roosevelt CommonsThis position supervises and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Insurance Processing Department such as daily tasks of time/attendance management, resourcing, revenue cycle system assessment, employee training, process documentation and monthly progress evaluations. Supervisors are expected to recruit and retain highly engaged employees and ensure their development to perform quality work in a high production environment. Knowledge of revenue cycle processes in a health care delivery system is required. Qualified applicants must provide a letter outlining previous success or education in the following areas: modeling service quality standards, employee performance assessment, analysis and implementation of continuous process improvement, and examples of successes in change management.Required: * AA degree or at least two completed academic years towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in business, liberal arts, or nursing. * At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a relevant healthcare position. Preferred: * Bachelors degree or 4 year equivalent. * Previous supervisory experience of two or more staff in a hospital revenue cycle billing or medical office. * Knowledge of health care funding with previous experience working with or for health insurance carriers, preferably in a role seeking insurance authorizations or referrals for services. * Working knowledge of Medicaid. * Familiarity with other cultures or bilingual skills. Has responsibility for assisting with development, interpretation, and application of departmental policies, budgets, and project plans. Position provides technical and administrative guidance to senior management on a project basis. Planning, implementing and evaluating process improvements in order to maximally utilize available resources. Stays current on healthcare regulations and practices that may have potential impact on operation.
