Will consider candidates with high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of interpretation/translation experience. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required. Must pass interpretation and translation competency. Experience: 5 years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting preferred. -Experience in further developing interpreters and translators. -Excellent service excellence skills working with Limited English Proficient patients and families, along with the deaf or hard of hearing population. -Encourage creative thinking to identify ways to achieve successful results within the department. -Strong business acumen in understanding financials and reports, along with analyzing existing data. -Successful program development implementation using existing data. -Leadership skills in team development, goal setting, problem identification and solution development. -Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to present, communicate and interact effectively with staff and management at all levels of the organization. -Knowledge of compliances issues and working with regulatory agencies -Strong background in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives -Strong command of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Physical Requirements Ability to Perform Essential Functions of the Job Job Overview Manages the Medical Interpreter Department which delivers services to Limited English Proficient patients and families, plus providing resources to those who are Deaf or Hearing Impaired. Department includes hiring, supervising and managing in house Interpreters and translators. Additionally, maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, staff, volunteers, physicians and outside agencies including all Network of Care sites. Also included is the oversight and further development of the Qualified Bi-Lingual Staff program.
