St. Joseph´s Hospital, a member of the BayCare Health System in Tampa, is currently seeking a Director for our Cancer Institute. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in comprehensive service development; budgeting/marketing experience; verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated leadership ability; and strong physician relationship skills. The selected candidate will report to Chief Operating Officer of St. Josephs Hospital and will be responsible for Cancer Center strategic planning & implementation, including working with physicians to align strategic priorities; maintaining the American College of Surgeons Accreditation; annual updates of the Service Development Plan; marketing cancer services, especially new technologies, to Primary Care Physician Services; develop participation and underwriting for annual fundraising responsibilities; and developing/executing comprehensive strategic plans from screening through palliative care across all St. Josephs services. In addition, this position requires developing/overseeing strategies to ensure revenue goals are met.Requirements for this position include 3 years operating experience in hospital administration and a Bachelors degree in a health related field. 5 years experience in cancer administration and a Masters in a health related field preferred.

This communications position will work with people at all levels, including research physicians and scientists, to develop meaningful content and effective communication tools to promote the program and its activities. It will support strategic internal and external communication initiatives for the MHRP and its international research sites, reporting to the Director of Communications.
