Central Processing Supervisor - Full Time Day Shift
The Central Processing Supervisor makes decisions and sets goals for assigned sections in OR, including Central Processing, the transportation team, O.R. Assistants, and other assigned O.R. ancillary personnel. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*Supervising day-to-day operations of the assigned sections or work groups. *Facilitating daily scheduling and staffing. *Coordinating and facilitating completion of patient care activities. *Assuring that staff members receive proper orientation and training to perform work competently. *Serving as a technical expert resource, problem solver and role model. *Providing management coverage in the absence of Manager.*Assisting Manager in developing, evaluating and implementing standards of practice for assigned sections. *Monitoring and maintaining staff compliance with standards, protocols, policies, procedures, and regulatory/accreditation requirements.*Overseeing equipment management, maintenance and calibration.*Performing staff duties during short staffing or to maintain skill levels as needed.*Serving as consultant or liaison to nursing department staff and to other departments. *Participating with Manager in preparing and implementing annual departmental goals and objectives, strategic plans, and standards.*Effectively delegating and managing change, setting expectations and goals.*Developing goals and objectives in support of Hospitals mission, Fostering teamwork and collaboration to accomplish organization goals. Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent. - Extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation, surgical supplies and supply management. - Minimum 3 years related Central Processing or Operating Room experience. Preferred Qualifications- Two years college course work or a degree in relevant field. - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) of IAHCSMM or eligible. - At least two years supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred, including working knowledge of performance/personnel management, attendance management, labor relations, training and development.
