We are currently seeking a Director of Medical Staff Services to be accountable for the administrative and medico-legal aspects of the medical staff organization. The Director serves as an essential link between senior management and the medical staff to promote and enhance good communications and a positive working relationship. Responsibilities include:• Establishing, contributing and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to medical staff members relating to credentialing, quality and administrative functions• Medical staff preparation, organization and follow-up involved in maintaining hospital accreditation and licensure with the AOA and other regulatory agenciesPreference will be given to candidates who hold certification as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist or Certified Medical Staff Coordinator. The Director must have a four-year college degree with strong word processing/spreadsheet skills. Superior verbal/written communication talents and excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities are required. The ideal candidate will have hospital experience and familiarity with medical and disease processes. The Physician Division is comprised of 1,000 employees, 14 primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care clinics. The Executive Director is responsible for all activities and performance of the Division including: operations, process improvement, conflict resolution and change management. Implementation and management experience in a large, multi-site organization and a minimum of eight years of health care operations experience, including ambulatory and primary care clinics.
