UWMNC currently has an opening for an Ambulatory RN Clinical Analyst that will primarily report to the Director of Clinical Support and secondarily report to the Associate Medical Director for Information Systems. This position will be based out of our Administrative Offices located in the University District of Seattle, WA.This position will lead and facilitate multidisciplinary health care teams in the specification and implementation of the EMR to support the continuum of care across the University of Washington Medical Health System.The Ambulatory RN Clinical Analyst brings clinical expertise and knowledge in patient care, operational processes, and information systems requirements and participates in design, specification, implementation and evaluation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Focus may be on EPIC, Cadence, and Secure Messaging applications and / or other segments of projects that link the Neighborhood Clinic to the UW Medicine Health System such as Admitting and Discharge, Ambulatory Care, Registration Applications, etc. The RN Clinical Analyst may have multiple areas of responsibility within the EPIC and ORCA applications and will function across UW Medicine Health System to ensure coordination of transitions in care. This individual will provide primary or assist with project coordination and project management, requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and training. Functions as an expert user with both clinical and technical expertise and serves as a cross-functional, knowledgeable, single point of contact. The Clinical Analyst should have knowledge of the maintenance and administration of applications used by multiple customer groups, including software change control. May provide limited table updates. Responsible for trouble-shooting, analysis of processes impacted or created by use of the applications, determining business solutions for application needs and functional expertise from a user perspective. Participates in first-line user support, and works with Information Technology Services to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge/experience:- Bachelor´s Degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or applied computer science in a clinically oriented health field. Master’s Degree Desirable.- Three years recent clinical and operational experience working in an acute or ambulatory care setting.- Minimum of 1 year recent experience designing, writing specifications, configuring, training or implementing clinical applications- Equivalent education or experience may substitute- Strongly prefer experience implementing or supporting an electronic medical records system, provider order entry and/or clinical repository applications- Working knowledge and understanding of operational issues in acute and inpatient settings- Demonstrated ability to work with and facilitate multidisciplinary clinician groups as part of a clinical information system support
