Position requires knowledge of Transplant Federal Regulations in relation to Transplant Financial Services. Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, as well as obtaining authorizations for transplantation, ancillary services and office visits. Incumbent will be required to continuously meet customer needs consistent with the medical centers philosophy, mission and strategic plan. The financial analyst is responsible for contributing to the overall achievement of the goals and objectives of timely, accurate financial authorizations. Incumbent will maintain competency skills including the ability to interact with customers with diverse cultural backgrounds. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to detail to the issues of the patient population(s) served.Educational Requirements:BS or higher preferred or comparable level of education and experience.Experience:Demonstrated success in multi-tasking many conflicting projects and deadlines. Bachelors Degree required. Must have at least 5 years supervision experience in a health care registration, HMO, or insurance customer service environment. Director will be responsible for directing admitting, registration, outpatient test scheduling, pre-registration, and financial specialist processes including cashier functions. Ensures staff practice excellent customer service while supporting mission and core values of the organization. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to successful completion of all registration collections, data gathering and account maintenance for hospital Patient Access Services. Team building, goal setting, assisting managers and supervisors with staff coaching and training are also required.
