This position is a long term temporary position to support the Ambulatory Program.
This is a responsible senior level position providing leadership, management and consultative services for strategic project execution, mentoring and leadership of project leaders and other staff members, and subject matter expertise. Assists Department Heads in the execution of clinical, administrative and financial systems projects by coordinating the activities of all interested and/or impacted departments, functional areas, and teams in one or more of the following ways: developing needs, defining project scope, identifying detailed tasks, estimating resource effort, selecting appropriate systems, managing implementation tasks, all in an effort to ensure problem free and cost effective information systems to meet hospital requirements. Work is performed independently and is reviewed with the Director of Project Development/Customer Services through discussion for conformity with hospital policy, long-range plans, and budget considerations.This position is a long term temporary position to support the Ambulatory Program and requires the following: - Epic experience- 5 years experience as a project manager in healthcareMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required1. A combination of management & technical experience which may be required through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field in order to understand and coordinate information systems projects.2. Knowledge of project management, hospital and/or systems functions normally acquired during 5-8 years of related work experience.3. A high level of organizational skills necessary for business analysis, project planning and definition, team development and management.4. A high level of interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with a wide variety of hospital management and staff, as well as outside corporations and vendors, in gathering and exchanging information and promoting and maintaining good public relations.5. A high level of analytical skills necessary to assist in development and implementation of new systems, techniques, and/or procedures, to help determine needs for capital equipment and personnel, to support improvements in functioning of departments, and to prepare special and recurring reports for analysis.
