Qualifications:Bachelors degree in health services, business, or a related service management area and/or equivalent experience in clinical management required. Masters in health services administration, business, public administration or other medical field highly desired. At least five years of executive leadership in a medical group practice or similar experience in hospital-based ambulatory service programs required. Strong operations management abilities with capacity to move organizations toward planned objectives. Effective computer use skills, especially with word processing and spread sheet programs.Position Summary:Within a designated region, this position provides on-going support for and accountability to the COO through the acceptance and implementation of delegated responsibilities. At the same time, the organization is strengthened by the assurance that clinic operations meet planned objectives by the fulfillment of the responsibilities of this position. Plan and direct a program of recruiting and development to increase physician alignment consistent with the regional strategic plan.Job Responsibilities:1. Gathers, analyzes and reports essential operating information to the COO for the purpose of keeping the organizations key customers apprised of the regions on-going status.2. Provides direction to Regional Directors and Practice Managers/Coordinators to ensure that clinic operations throughout the organization meet planned statistical targets, staffing criteria, accepted productivity standards, quality and risk requirements and patient satisfaction goals with variances responded to by corrective interventions.3. Coordinates clinic-related capital equipment decisions with the COO, Finance and requesting Provider(s) to ensure proper stewardship of resources.4. Takes a staff development approach to all personnel-related responsibilities so that operations staff members have every opportunity to be effective in their work.5. Consults with clinic providers on matters of operations as a means of strengthening medical staff relations, resolving problems and reaching key outcomes.6. Collaborates with other members of senior leadership in the preparation and follow-up management control of the organizations annual plan and long-range strategic plan.7. Provides the COO with supporting information in concert with recommendations concerning continuous quality improvement opportunities, business growth tactics, marketing strategies, problem resolutions, associate relations, patient satisfaction outcomes, capital acquisitions and community involvement actions.8. Coordinates provider relations activities with the COO and Chief Medical Officer to foster an enhanced team spirit among the organizations medical staff.9. Provides support and direction as requested by Health Care Center CEOs to build an integrated health care network and serves as liaison to CHRISTUS hospitals located within the region.10. Participates in collaborative efforts with region Health Care Centers to recruit new and/or existing providers. 11. Negotiates contracts for region activities according to established policies and procedures.12. Conducts needed research and analyses as part of active participation in the annual budget preparation process.13. Assists in the development of fee schedules for owned practices.14. Demonstrates an understanding of and need for proper stewardship of the organizations resources by the way in which ones job responsibilities are implemented. 15.
