Specifically, the incumbent will assist the Director of Patient Meal Serices in establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for the preparation and serving of patient food, therapeutic diets and related products, as well as menu planning and development. The Patient Food Service Manager ensures that requirements for appropriate food quality, temperature compliance, sanitation and safety levels in respective areas are met. Coordinates and supervises shift personnel (currently 20 employees) regarding all aspects of patient services, including diet office, trayline (approximately 375 meals per shift), hostess program, floor stock nourishments, performance improvement and cost control as well as labor scheduling, staffing and employee training. Conducts other functions such as maintaining records to comply with ARAMARK, government and accrediting agency standards.
