Primary Purpose: This position will direct the management of hospital patient access, billing and collections departments of revenue cycle operations. Establishes and maintains effective standards, systems and processes as well as addresses identified needs and ensures achievement of established financial and non-financial goals in support of the mission, goals and objectives of Phoenix Children´s Hospital. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: -Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or closely related field, or equivalent combination of post secondary education and experience.-Experience in using, evaluating and managing various revenue cycle hospital information systems.-Proven track record of success in transforming operations to reflect leading practices.-Seven years experience in a hospital based patient Access and or PFS management position, including experience with Medicaid and commercial/contract payer insurance payment rules. Preferred Qualifications: -Excellent project management skills and ability to complete projects on time and on budget.-Excellent written and oral communication skills.-Experience with Eclipsys AMPFM system.-Knowledge of and experience in establishing, monitoring and achieving performance objectives based on hospital revenue cycle benchmarks.-Two to three years experience in management consulting.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer the position is responsible for assisting in and learning the processes for planning, organizing and directing the fiscal services of a hospital. Working with the CFO and his/her designees helps develop and administer hospital policies on finance, accounting, business office, admitting, materials management and internal controls. Assists in the establishment of goals, objectives and standards for all areas of responsibility that report to a hospital CFO. Participates in developing the strategic plan for the hospital. Assists in the development of hospital wide fiscal policies and procedures.Minimum experience bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred. Responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of the Department exerting a leadership role which supports the hospital´s mission, vision, goals and objectives, while focusing on the patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care into the clinic´s primary function. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning. Minimum Bachelor´s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent minimum experience requirements. Minimum of 7 years of accounting, financial management and analysis in group practice/physician practice experience.

Manages processes and staff in the accurate and timely preparation of external and internal financial reports. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning. Minimum Education: Bachelor´s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent minimum experience requirements. Masters in Business Administration or Finance preferred. Minimum Experience: Seven or more years in a healthcare financial management position. Management and supervisory experience is required. MBA or CPA certification preferred.
