Appropriately statuses patient in computer system. *Work cancelled clinics/modification and Televox reports. *Collects payments from patients - including copayments, current charges and prior account balances, provides receipts and documents all financial transactions. *Responsible for participating in the departmental and hospital programs for Quality Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Nemours. The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and coordination of all activities within Nemours Health and Prevention Services (NHPS). This position is responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the daily operations, ensuring cross-team and cross-organizational collaboration in the development/refinement of organizational strategies that align with Nemours mission and strategic goals. Graduate from an accredited two-year college or university or its equivalent in experience. 2. This position is responsible for the coordination of the Joint Commission accreditation preparedness activities throughout the Delaware Valley and for ensuring the continuous readiness for announced and unannounced surveys of the hospital and affiliated organizations including offsite facilities. To insure proper coding and abstracting of all hospital accounts according to established ICD-9-CM and CPT coding procedures and guidelines.  Perform quality reviews, training of new coding staff, and other managerial duties within the Coding section of the department including the ability to code all hospital accounts. 1.        Ability to read and comprehend the medical record to help identify all diagnosis, operations and procedures relevant to the current period 2.        Select, assign and sequence the appropriate ICD-9-CM and CPT codes to patient´s current period of care according to established sequencing guidelines for optimal reimbursement.3.        Assign the DRG to inpatient records according to established guidelines4.        Abstract inpatient records in an accurate manner according to established procedures and guidelines.5.        Contact the appropriate health care provider if there is inadequate information on which to base code assignment; or clarify inconsistent, doubtful or non-specific information in a medical record by querying the responsible       6.        Minimally code three to four inpatient charts per hour, ten outpatient surgery charts per hour, twenty emergency room charts per hour and 175 outpatient charts per day with a 99% accuracy rate.7.        Demonstrate and incorporate a working knowledge of the Epic Care System for retrieval of clinical data for coding purposes.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Associates or some college required.  Must have strong coding experience.Thanks for your interest in Nemours!
