Still growing, our professional fee division currently supports 3 locations, 75+ providers, and staff. As our Coder, you will be primarily responsible for specialty procedural coding in the areas of cardiovascular surgery, vascular, cyber knife, oncology, and behavioral health. Specific duties include working closely with providers to provide coding education in group settings as well as 1 on 1 settings. This position works as part of an integrated team serving multiple sites and specialties. Qualifications include: current coding certification through AHIMA or AAPC; minimum of two years coding experience in cardiovascular surgery, vascular, cyber knife and oncology along with secondary experience with E&M coding in hospice, nephrology, stroke neurology, urology, behavioral health and internal medicine; strong communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to adapt to a changing and growing atmosphere; willingness to learn new skills and help in different ways; and the ability to transport oneself to and from multiple work locations. Summit Orthopedics is recruiting for a Certified Medical Coder with experience in Spine/PM&R/ Pain Management. This is a full time position located at our Woodbury business office. Duties include assigning codes to patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing. All candidates must have great attention-to-detail, be familiar with medical terminology, and be a team player. Minimum of one-year previous medical coding experience required with experience in Spine and Pain Management.

The Coding Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining coding and documentation improvement processes for all coding divisions of Brainerd Lakes Health.Responsibilities:- Daily Operational Management of Coding Staff. Assessing current compliance activities, identifying areas of high risk, and evaluating risk factors in coding and documentation practices Developing and maintaining standardized, organization-wide policies and procedures to monitor coding and documentation quality Establishing and maintaining a formalized review process for compliance, including a formal review(audit) process- Establish communication tools to provide physician feedback regarding coding documentation processes- Implement and follow through with Clinical documentation Improvement Program.Quality Review Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Abstracts pertinent information from patient records. Assigns ICD-9-CM or HCPCS codes, creating APC or DRGgroup assignments. Queries physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes.- Coding Denials and AppealsQualifications: Bachelors degree in health information management or a related field and at least 5 years of professional experience,3 of which are in coding. Credentialed as an RHIA or RHIT and a CCS or CCP Experience in operational management Experience in project management Knowledge of health information systems (EMRs, Encoders, etc...) Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

To accomplish this, MedAssurant utilized RNs, LPNs, Certified Record Coders, Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Clerks to go to physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and other clinical facilities to obtain and/or review medical data. MedAssurant does these reviews in all 50 states around the nation. MedAssurant is currently recruiting RNs, LPNs, Certified Record Coders, Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Clerks to perform medical record reviews in the field. MedAssurant offers highly competitive hourly compensation as well as compensation for mileage traveled. MedAssurant reviewers are provided with a laptop and full abstraction and technology training. Both part-time and full-time positions are available. Responsibilities: -Accurately and efficiently conduct medical record review/abstractions services. -Scan relevant components of the medical record to support reviews performed. -Electronically download review assignments to the laptop and data collection tool; daily upload completed assignments and scanned medical records. -Participate in required training. -Complete quality, accuracy and inter-rater reliability testing as requested in a timely manner. -Communicate effectively and professionally with care provider offices, clinics, hospitals, other clinical facilities and MedAssurant staff. -Travel to medical facilities in specified area of region from home to complete review services as assigned by MedAssurant. -Represent MedAssurant with medical facility staff. -Abide by all HIPAA and associated patient confidentiality requirements.Requirements-Medical Record Coder (CPC or comparable) OR RN OR LPN OR Medical Assistant OR Certified Nursing Assistant OR Medical Clerk -Clinical experience; prefer experience in performing chart abstractions. -Ability to manage and meet deadlines. -Computer literate. -Detail oriented. -Professionally skilled in verbal and written communication. -Available to perform reviews no less than 24 hours a week. -Must be willing to travel. -Must have high speed internet access.
