NYU Langone Medical Center is seeking a qualified Data Analyst!
Position Summary:Performs data analysis and creates management reports related to performance measurement and outcomes of the Advanced Practice Nurses & Physician Assistants (APNs & PAs) program. Performs data entry utilizing various database management tools. Utilizes data tracking systems to support the clinical program-specific needs of the APNs and PAs; maintains systems for tracking and monitoring credentialing of APNs and PAs as required by The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. Prepares data reports that facilitate the analysis of performance metrics of advanced practice nurses and physician assistants. Provides administrative support to the Director of Advanced Practice Nurses & Physician Assistants on the daily operation of the department.Principal Responsibilities:1.Responsible for the management and maintenance of clinical and statistical reports of the APN & PA Program.2.Enters data in to data collection systems, for filing, credentialing, and/or monitoring purposes of APNs, PAs and SAs.3.Manages timesheets and payroll entry of the Advanced Practice & Physician Assistants Program 4.Works with Director and Manager of APNs and PAs to develop tracking methods to support all regulatory requirements as well as credentialing and privileging needs of APNs and PAs.5.Performs data collection and management reporting6.Collaborates with other interdepartmental staff to obtain and share available data sources7.Manages databases in a variety of formats for use by the Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants, including maintenance of departments electronic personnel filing system.8.Works with NYUHC IT Department to facilitate data acquisition, analysis and reporting.9.Provides support to Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants in research initiatives for preparation of data presentation.10.Participates in APNs and PAs Performance Improvement teams and assists in approaches to quantifiable outcomes.11.Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.12.Produces standard reports monthly, quarterly, and provides ad hoc reports as needed.13.Generates reports required for Advanced Practice and Physician Assistants Program.14.Provides reports as requested by the Director or the department.15.Implements data collection systems for clinical studies at the request of the Director of Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants.16.Assists in development of related policies and procedures for data management.17.Provides other related duties as required and necessary to support the needs of the departmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Management, Information Management, Computer Science or related field. Masters preferred.Three plus years recent related experienceProficiency in management of database, spreadsheet, statistical, graphics, and word processing and modern software applications.Knowledge of report writing software and of Microsoft Office, including ACCESS.Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; strong analytical and presentation skillsAble to work independently with little guidance; possesses collaborative spirit Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of clinical hospital systemsKnowledge of medical terminology and clinical practice.Experience or familiarity with quality improvement and performance measurement.Knowledge of PC network computer systems.Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Business office setting
