JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President, Practice Leader for Quality and Operations Improvement is responsible for managing all aspects of the Quality and Operations Improvement product line for B. E. Smith. Duties include planning, budgeting, revenue/expense management and contribute to staff evaluation within the Quality and Operations Improvement product line. The Vice President, Practice Leader for Quality and Operations Improvement is also responsible for insuring the quality of product development and coordination, field employee/Project Leader, engagement management, and compliance with all professional standards. See Essential Job Functions.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:Education: Master´s Degree in healthcare, business, or related field required. Experience: Healthcare administrative experience with a combination of Master´s Degree in a related field and 15 years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality.Experienced mediator.Proficiency in use of personal computer and widely used software packages (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); ability to learn and successfully use supporting software as needed. Well versed in B. E, Smith products/services and contemporary Quality and Operations Improvement/processes/needs and healthcare administration.Excellent follow through skills. E. Smith. Drives vision for Quality and Operations Improvement and product development within that service line.Develop and improve (research and design) on ongoing basis: Quality and Operations Improvement products/services including but not limited to business plan development and maintenance, goal setting, process/procedure/tools/methods/materials/benchmark/metrics development. Provide Project Leadership for Quality and Operations Improvement Consulting Engagements and product development. May provide Project Leadership for Interim engagements as requested. Manages engagements to remain in scope, on time and within agreed upon contractual obligations. Prepare proposals, situation understanding, scope and other key requirements for Quality and Operations Improvements engagements.Consults and advises key decision makers/executives as a trusted advisor. Serves as champion for effective Contemporary Quality and Operations services. Provide Business Development for Quality and Operations Improvement/products. Develops relationships with C-Suite leaders for business development. Works collaboratively with Business Development Regional Vice Presidents to develop and execute strategies and programs to assure agreed upon and delivery of sales volume for each region. Promote and prepares agreements, proposals and related materials to effectively sell all B. E. Smith services.Develop standardized processes, tools and templates for the effective delivery of all Quality and Operations Improvement product offerings. Develop new product offerings based on strategic plan for service line, to include: standardized processes, tools, templates.Develops proposed and accountable for annual operating budget for Quality and Operations Improvement. Maintain and provide ongoing revenue and expense forecasts throughout year.Develop and accountable for performance metrics on monthly and quarterly schedule (number and type of services sold, delivered, revenue/margin expectations, customer satisfaction, repeat business, etc.).Performs all special projects and all other work-related duties as assigned.
