The official job description is as follows:Consults with clients to assist with database requirements and implementation decisions. Evaluates database alternatives or new technology and recommends solutions for small to medium projects. Assists in evaluations for large, more complicated projects. Understands architecture of limited systems and ensures that database technology decisions are consistent with that architecture. Assists and assumes project assignment responsibilities. Full use and/or application of basic principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Corrects basic database problems independently. Provides basic preventive maintenance. Assists in testing and implementation of the organization´s databases. Communicates status and issues to peers outside team. Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.Required: Bachelor´s degree or higher or formal training in Data Base Administration, Information Systems or a Computer Science related field of study.3+ years DBA Experience or four years experience in related fieldSelf motivated Desired:SQL Server CertificationPreferable experience with SQL Server 2008Design, Development/programming experienceData Warehouse administration experienceWeb Administration
