Universal Health Services, Inc is one of the largest and most respected hospital management companies in the nation. UHS is beginning a major new project to replace large components of our Clinical Information Systems. As such, UHS is aggressively expanding our IT staffing levels by hiring up to 75 additional employees. These positions will be located at both our Corporate Headquarters in King of Prussia, PA and in our Acute Care Hospitals across the US. Currently the corporate IS department is staffed by more than 175 experienced healthcare IT professionals, including a number of employees with clinical licenses, degrees or certifications, including Nurses, Medical Technicians, and a Physician Consultant. Currently UHS has an opportunity available as an Assistant Director who will be responsible for the design, development, deployment and support of the UHS clinical information systems across all Acute Care Hospitals. Responsibilities include: Financial Management Project Management Personnel Management Establishing an effective working process across the healthcare continuum Researching industry best practices and configuration in order to make modifications to current processes as appropriate Establishing policies and procedures for development, testing, training, and implementation Performing hands on configuration when necessary and supporting challenging issues other team members may not be able to resolve Collaborating with Nursing management, Quality Management and staff personnel at UHS facilities and the corporate office Requirements 10 years healthcare information technology with 3-5 years operational management experience and / or 5 years Clinical Systems information technology experience in a multi-facility Acute Care Hospital environmentPossess strong analytical skills, Project Management Certification and/or experience, Process Improvement related to workflow processes, Training, Development of educational material.Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with Executives, Physicians, Nurses and all other clinical personnel.Ability to do up to 30% travelIf you meet the above requirements and are looking for a rewarding career in Healthcare IT, please take a moment to share your background with us by applying online.
