High School Diploma/GED Minimum of 5 years of experience Summary: Under direction, the purpose of the position is to perform skilled to advanced electrical trades work related to various installation, maintenance and electrical repair tasks and projects for the hospital. Employees in this classification function with considerable independence and latitude in judgment concerning methods, materials, and priority of assigned work orders. Work areas include, but are not necessarily limited to, new construction, outdoor structures, and interior facilities. Position coordinates assigned work projects in a manner to minimize disruption in hospital activities. Work may include leading work crews when applicable to the assigned work orders. Performs related work as directed. Required License, Certification and/or Registration: Master Electrician License Required Experience: 5 years progressively skilled and knowledgeable commercial and/or industrial journey level experience in electrical trades work, with demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical codes, architectural drawings, and electrical specifications; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and knowledge of NFPA 99, NEC (NFPA 70), Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), JCAHO requirements, and demonstrated superior workmanship skills in electrical project management and supervision of others.
