Find out more about us, and learn how you can put your beliefs to good at our Sunnyside Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.Assistant Administrator, Regional Surgical Services and Hospital Ancillary OperationsThis position is accountable for leading operations, strategic planning, clinical quality, and financial performance of Surgical Services across the Northwest region, key ancillary services at Kaiser Permanentes Sunnyside Medical Center, and the Brookside Residential Mental Health Treatment Facility. As a key member of the senior management team you will ensure that your assigned of areas of responsibility consistently operate in a manner that improves and enhances clinical performance and maximizes quality, access, satisfaction, and patient safety.Requirements include:A minimum of eight years of management/leadership experience which includes a minimum of three years of experience in a large, complex, acute care medical centerSignificant experience leading surgical services operations with demonstrated success is strongly preferredMasters degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related health care fieldExperience in a progressive, high volume environment Experience working in a multi-site healthcare system is preferredExperience which includes a balance of strategic new program development and operational improvement is an asset A track record of clinical program development, as well as implementation of operations improvement initiatives to enhance cost effective and efficient patient care service deliveryThe proven ability to raise the level of professionalism and competency in an acute care setting including experience with operational turnaround and culture transformationExcellent financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, strategic fiscal planning, and the use of decision support systems to guide operating decisionsA track record of partnering effectively and inclusively with medical staff and non-nursing departments; experience in an integrated healthcare model is idealWillingness to recognize and partner with organized labor; experience in a unionized environment is helpfulAbility to manage effectively in a matrix environmentIf you would like to hear the Kaiser Permanente story as told by our employees, watch the videos on our Careers Home Page, kp.org/jobs/videoIndividuals who are bilingual or have multicultural or diverse patient population experience are encouraged to apply.
