Responsible for delivery of financial information related to financial performance improvement and operational efficiency activities. The goal is to provide accurate and timely information to management by providing opportunity identification, information sources, data collection and analysis, workflow analysis, statistical analysis, benchmark determination, process improvement design and measurement using written and graphic reports and presentations.As part of the responsibilities above, will also be responsible for payer analysis which includes working with key administrative and clinical leadership to understand payer needs for existing and new services and is responsible for developing SJHMC-specific financial requirements, analysis and data to support our contracts. Additionally, conducts evaluation of expected and actual yield on specific contracts and identifies opportunities for improvement. POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Financial Operations Department at St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team! The Senior Financial Analyst will assist with the responsibilities of the Finance department to facilitate efficient and effective management of the operations of the Medical Center. This will include assisting Management of the Medical Center with strategic, financial and capital planning, coordination, evaluation and reporting activities. Responsibilities also include productivity analysis and communication, financial projections, budgets, financial performance and statement analysis, revenue cycle monitoring and analysis, identification, evaluation and implementation of potential operational efficiencies, internal control evaluation and implementation, and other duties as may be identified to assist with management of the Medical Center. This position is responsible to ensure that timely, proactive, consistent and accurate reporting of financial and statistical information is in accordance with GAAP. Participation in medical group practice management and research activities is also required. This position will directly interact with a variety of stakeholders including internal and external communications to include large group presentations.Significant exposure to financial planning and analysis, budgets, revenue cycle activities to include CDM maintenance, internal control effectiveness, general ledger accounting, internal and external auditors, working directly with clinical operations, financial, statistical and productivity reporting and analysis, will allow for successful acclimation into the finance environment. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a high energy, flexible team member and need to possess superior professional communication skills and be able to convey complex financial and statistical information to a variety of audiences in an understandable and professional manner. Ground Breaking opportunity for a forward thinking influencer and decision maker. Physician Practice and or Hospital Practice Financial Forecasting and Revenue Cycle Management experience preferred.

This position oversees section sponsored revenue cycle functions that include charge capture, coding, and edit/denial management; manages section based resources, aligning them with best-in-class performance metrics in specific categories of revenue cycle (productivity, compliance, accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency). The position enjoys a matrix reporting relationship with Patient Financial Services (PFS) as well as Administration for the assigned Section(s).The role is responsible for establishing, meeting and exceeding operational work flow, productivity and results standards related to the above functions; participates in the development and implementation of a Clinic-wide revenue cycle integration model that coordinates and aligns the resources deployed to revenue cycle functions across the section(s) in efforts to build consistency of work flow and optimization of resources. The position also organizes, manages, and monitors the performance productivity of staff in reimbursement roles such as Reimbursement Manager and Reimbursement Coordinators with associated staff. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor´s degree required in related field or healthcare preferred. Masters degree preferred. 5-7 years experience with revenue cycle functions, preferably in both the shared service and clinical Section environments. Demonstrated understanding in how to manage resources across an organization to maximize organization impact in multiple Sections (shared resources). Experience with ambulatory care environments and ability to translate and embed standard operating procedures and process into the clinical environment where appropriate.

Preparation of GAP analyses for new international ventures and current clients.Develop various profitability reports including profitability by business, region, and product segments.Complete complex financial analysis including pro-formas and financial components of business plans that evaluate the potential viability of new international ventures.Develop revenue and margin reports comparing actual performance to budget and previous year, and forecast for the different areas of the business supported.Develop forecasting models using market indices, historical trends and other methods. Identify and implement process improvement measures which result in maximizing revenues and/or reducing costs. Must be able to strongly align business goals with measurement indexes.Must be able to travel for customer meetings and assignments on short notice.Design report structures to include financial information specific to new lines of business.Follow all safety rules while on the job.
