The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) Manager directs the workflow and tasks of the research administration staff assigned to obtain, complete, submit and administer internal and external grant and contract applications related to clinical and medical research projects.The Manager is responsible for process management for all research awards, grants, and funded projects including reviewing purchases to assure compliance with internal/external funding agencies rules and regulations, and to ensure accurate accounting for all projects and grants. The Manager acts as liaison between the Biomedical Research Department and Corporate Finance Department in developing, implementing and monitoring the grant and contract budgets and pertinent business plans for research. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve research financial operations and performance. Oversees compliance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern research within the scope of this role.
