Vendors please do not call HR directly to solicit.Position Summary Overview: Manage all phases of a system implementation or upgrade project and provide production services such as recommending improvements to strategy, system usage or process through the application of business and technology skill sets. Review, analyze and modify programming systems including configuration, testing, debugging and documenting Epic applications. Consult with customers to identify current operation procedures and to clarify program objectives. Additional responsibilities include workflow administration, data management and performing minor modifications to the application. Responsibilities: Translate user needs into detailed requirement specifications. Support the system installation through the implementation cycle; develop, schedule and facilitate test plans for software, network, integration, user acceptance and parallel usage; support procedures for downtime, end-users, production, help desk; provide documentation for training programs and materials/documentation for users; prepare status reports; identify the impacts and dependencies of the new system; demonstrate efficiencies of the new system. Perform configuration analysis for system design. Analyze system problems and recommend modifications. Coordinate implementation and upgrades of complex systems. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current business practices and Epic systems, interfaces, standard healthcare software and applications and the healthcare industry required. Must be familiar with a variety of hardware and software environments, relational databases and web deployed applications with the ability to write documentation describing installation and operation procedures. Knowledge of Epic applications preferred. Project management and planning, process mapping, group presentation, written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills, ability to analyze the functionality of systems and their fit with specifications required. The ability to troubleshoot basic problems and recommend appropriate action also required. Education, Licensure and Experience: Bachelor´s degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, nursing or other related field; three (3) years experience in hospital information systems selection, implementation and support or specific clinical experience in nursing, respiratory care, occupational/physical therapy or pharmacy required, including a minimum one (1) year of information systems related experience. One of the following TX licenses required: LVN; RN; NP, PNP, NNP, FNP; RCP; OT; PT; Pharmacist. Four (4) years of related work experience may be substituted for Bachelor´s.
