Nemours is seeking a Patient Service Representative II to join our team in Delaware.

Extending the world-class care of the duPont Hospital for Children, the Nemours Children´s Clinic provides convenient community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems across the Delaware Valley. *Inbound calls, collection of accurate demographic/ insurance information, obtaining referral/authorizations information and entering the appropriate referral information into Epic system. Documenting all information for registration on the DAR. *Work various reports within Epic system such as: Combined Registration Report, Unauthorized Services Report, and DAG Workque. *Contact insurance carriers, families, and physicians for referrals, authorizations or precertifications. *Utilize resources appropriately such as: Internet, (Internet) Insurance payor websites, and managed care manual. *Gather information needed for correct appointment scheduling, to include department, visit type, provider, reason for visit, referring physician and the creation of referrals when required. *Schedules/cancels/reschedules and confirms patient appointments. Appropriately statuses patient in computer system. *Work cancelled clinics/modification and Televox reports. *Collects payments from patients - including copayments, current charges and prior account balances, provides receipts and documents all financial transactions. *Responsible for participating in the departmental and hospital programs for Quality Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Nemours.
