The incumbent of this position acts as a liaison between IS and all of Maine Medical Center for system roll out, solutions development, implementation of supplied solutions, system enhancements and production support. Primary responsibilities for this position include working with the business process owners and IS to define, analyze, document, measure and implement a variety of functions for accuracy and functionality, conducting daily maintenance activities, and documenting changes to system configuration, policies and procedures to ensure standardization and efficiency of system workflows. This position works collaboratively with IS and user departments to provide guidance and support with Time & Attendance evaluation, installation, design, configuration, process automation, upgrades and the coordination with other Employee Centric applications. This position also provides user education and application support for time and attendance applications, and related software such as report writing applications. The work is very complex, analytical, and problem-solving in nature, and is performed with a high degree of independence. Familiarity with Kronos Time Keeping is considered essential to the position. Experience with Lawson would be a plus. The quality of work must be high and work is performed under minimal supervision. Programming skills using current technologies are necessary. Knowledge of client-server computing in a complex networked environment is expected. The ability to communicate orally and in writing is essential. This position reports to the Manager of Financial & Administrative Systems. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required1. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co workers, supervisors, user department personnel and hardware/software suppliers.2. Analytical skills necessary in order to apply computer technology to resolve business problems and/or increase operational efficiency of employee-centric information systems3. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, in non technical terms for users at all levels and in technical terms for IS staff4. Knowledge of computer systems and methods utilized in structuring and preparing input data for computer applications at a level normally acquired through completion of Associates Degree in Computer Science, or other closely related fields in order to translate information into computer system specifications, design program logic for computer applications, and the like. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.5. Approximately 2-3 years of progressively more responsible work experience necessary in order to gain detailed/comprehensive knowledge of Employee Centric Information Systems, client server environment, relational databases, and reporting tools, Time & attendance systems, (preferably Kronos); HR/Payroll systems, (preferably Lawson); report writing software, (preferably Crystal/Business Objects).6. Considerable knowledge of business practices and procedures, related to the use of Payroll and Human Resources Information Systems.7. Skills necessary to effectively lead and coordinate the activities of team members to establish assigned goals.
