POSITION REQUIREMENTS Under the direction of the Cancer Registry Supervisor, the Certified Tumor Registrar is to review medical records, assign mandated codes and provide an abstract of all required data related to each and every reportable cancer case seen at Mercy and Mercy Southwest Hospitals.- Prior experience abstracting in an American College of Surgeons-Commission on Cancer approved hospital program is preferred. - High School Diploma or equivalent, college level course in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and medical terminology and completion of Certified Tumor Registrar program. -Typing and computer skills, Word, Excel, ability to communicate effectively and ability to take direction. - Must be able to read, write and speak English. - Current CTR credentials required.
