Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA), a 50 physician orthopaedic surgery group located in Nashville, TN, is looking for a CFO to join our management team.
-Direct all cash management activities for the organization.-Oversee the organizational payroll function. -Memorialize, manage, administer, and continuously document the physician compensation process including base salary, bonus, and deferred compensation calculations. -Oversee the accounts payable process.-Manage all banking relationships and services Assist with the analysis and negotiation of various financial institution loans. -Responsible for on-going assessment of company financial position and for the cogent presentation of same to CEO, physician management board, and shareholders. -Directs, coordinates, and actively involved in the preparation of the annual financial budget, including capital and salary budget process. -Supervises the accounting department staff and provides direction in procedures and computer application systems needed to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services, including accuracy of financial statements, trending analysis, and monthly forecasts. -Manages the allocation of direct and indirect costs to the appropriate organizational department(s) to ensure proper and accurate accounting and income statement output. -Establish, as needed, internal control procedures as related to cash, accounts receivables and liabilities. -Prepares pro forma analysis of capital expenditures and their financial impact on the organization. -Assists, as needed, in the decision support function to model and determine the financial viability of various proposed projects and/or investments. -Evaluates and recommends business opportunities such as expanding or providing additional services or eliminating unprofitable or marginal services. -Works with organizations external accountants to oversee the tax filings and financial statement audits. -Oversees the external management of organizations retirement plan(s). -Assists with, as needed, all financial implications of new or revised benefit plan offerings. -Works closely with the Executive Director and Medical Group President in all aspects of clinic operations, as directed. -Attends monthly board meetings, semi-monthly shareholder meetings, and annual planning retreat to provide financial overview as needed. RequirementsEducation: Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Business or a Health related field required, advanced degree and CPA certification strongly preferred. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in senior level financial management. Minimum 4 years in healthcare and/or physician practice environment preferred. Must be an excellent communicator who understands and assimilates the strategic and planning side of the CFO role. Must be a team player with developed staff management skills. Must be able to clearly, effectively, confidently, and concisely communicate with physicians on all financial and compensation related issues.Licensure: CPA License preferred.Visit our website at www.toa.com
