Join Our Team! Texas Children´s Pediatric Associates are primary care practices located throughout the Houston area. Doctors provide primary care, diagnosis, management and follow-up for well and ill infants and children. Office hours are typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some offices have evening and Saturday hours. We offer many career opportunities. No third party considerations will be accepted at this time. Vendors please do not call HR directly to solicit. Position Summary Overview: Direct, supervise and coordinate the overall operations of a practice as well as to advise, coach and mentor staff. Responsibilities: Monitor work flow and ensure adequate coverage of practice. Schedule staff based on practice needs and fiscal constraints. Monitor/approve time off requests. Interview, hire and orient staff. Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures and external regulatory agencies. Coach and counsel employees. Complete required in-services (Infection Control, OSHA, etc.). Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA and JCAHO. Maintain budget. Maintain inventory of supplies. Ensure patient balances are collected at time of service and payments are posted. Ensure maximum collections through data entry and insurance verification. Identify areas for improvement. Conduct staff and provider meetings to address issues and provide updates. Demonstrate and ensure excellent customer service. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of general office tasks, confidentiality, medical terminology, CPT coding, finance, administration, managerial principals, human resources, risk management, performance improvement, CLIA, OSHA, JCAHO, practice operations, managed care and the healthcare environment. Ability to communicate effectively, use a personal computer, a billing system and general office machine. Education and Experience: High school graduate or GED. Bachelor´s degree preferred. One (1) year of supervisory experience required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements. A certification in practice management is preferred.
