The Dean of Nursing will report to the Vice-President for Academic Affairs and provide leadership and administrative oversight for the Nursing program. Responsibilities of this position will include: maintaining high levels of retention and completion of the Nursing Program and licensure process, ensuring enrollment growth by recruiting college ready students, facilitating strong relationships with service area high schools and sister institutions, and developing and implementing a strategic plan for marketing and recruitment. The Dean of Nursing will provide leadership, coordination, and assistance in college-wide student orientation, advising and retention programs, develop and implement plans to recruit traditional, non-traditional, ACCEL, international, and online students.Qualifications:•Masters degree.•At least three years teaching experience and two years higher level management experience.•Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community.•Proven leadership in promoting and marketing the Nursing programs of study.•Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills – both written and verbal.•Experience managing a broad range of full-time and part-time faculty and staff.Preferred:•Doctorate in Nursing field. •Experience with distance learning.Contract Provisions:•Twelve-month position. •Full-time, tenure track position starting date negotiable. •Rank: Commensurate with experience. •Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.•Administrators receive all benefits provided by the University System of Georgia, including hospital and major medical insurance, group life insurance, Georgia Teachers´ Retirement System, Social Security, liability insurance, and Workman´s Compensation.A complete application must include: •A current resume. •Letter of application addressing the above responsibilities and qualifications, plusStatement of Philosophy reflecting the applicant´s commitment to the two-year community college.•Names, addresses, and telephone numbers of five current references. •Unofficial transcripts of all college work. •Official transcripts with college/university seal will be required prior to employment.•Finalists will be required to submit to a background investigation.Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until filled.
