PURPOSE: Supervises day to day operations of a small outpatient medical clinic. Responsible for supervision of business office, medical records, and clinical staff. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises the business, technical, and nursing support activities of a small outpatient medical clinic. Responsible for performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff training and development, promoting teamwork and fostering a positive work environment. Assists clinic manager with implementation of clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals and objectives consistent with ARCs strategic plan and goals. Assists clinic manager with preparation of annual capital and operating clinic budgets and monitoring of expenses. Assists clinic manager with development and/or implementation of clinic-specific policies, procedures, and programs and monitors adherence to system-wide policies/standardizations. Monitors staffing mix and allocation of resources in order to meet demand for services with available staff and recommends changes as appropriate. Addresses patient care or service complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. On a daily basis interacts with and supports staff and physicians and handles issues or requests as appropriate. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Clinic Supervisor I:Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelors degree in related area preferred. Experience: At least two (2) years of experience working in a healthcare related facility. Supervisory or lead experience preferred. OR Clinic Supervisor II:Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelors degree in related area preferred. Experience: At least three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare related facility, two of which were in a supervisory capacity. AND Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with laws and regulations related to healthcare delivery compliance Knowledge of various medical insurance plans and billing practices Knowledge of procedural and diagnostic coding Proficient PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Strong customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze and interpret financial data/reports Certificate/License: none Work Schedule: Flex schedule working during the evenings (M-F 2pm-10pm) and/or weekends (Sat/Sun 7am-1pm).
