The Director of Materials Managements reports to the CFO of Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital. This role will focus on administering and directing the distribution of supplies at an optimum price while maintaining consistent standards of quality, quantity and efficiency. The Director will provide management oversight to the Central Supply Technicians and Data Processing staff. This position will also assist in establishing requirements for items and services to be procured by developing standard specifications. In addition the Director will implement and coordinate inventory control. Additional qualifications include:Previous purchasing and materials management experiencePrior background in vendor relations and negotiationKnowledge and experience in inventory control and computer softwarePrevious experience in a supervisory/management positionBackground working in healthcare, rural health or critical access environment preferred.
