JOB DESCRIPTION:Responsibilities and Essential Functions - Directs the activities of the Office Managers. Monitors their progress against mutually agreed on goals and objectives. Gains a full understanding and acts on staff strengths and weaknesses at each practice. - Establishes budgeted staffing level for each assigned practice location. Works with HR Advisors to hire support staff and resolve employee relations issues. Ensures support staff are fully trained. - Works with physicians and Area Director to establish budgets. Contracts with ancillary services for office site usage. Coordinates all operating capital expenditures, site renovations and equipment procurement. - Manage session scheduling and support services at all part-time Caritas Christi Physician Network sites. Coordinates necessary coverage arrangements for both primary and specialty care services. - Works closely with staff and Revenue department to ensure maximization of physician reimbursement in conjunction with third-party compliance requirements. - Maintains strong relationships with providers to understand and address operational, staffing and financial objectives and concerns. - Have the ability to cover for the Office Manager as needed. Must have an expert level knowledge of the day-to-day workings of each practice. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:- Formal training or education related to physician practice operations is required. BS in Management, Healthcare or Administration or an MBA is preferred. Equivalent physician practice management experience will be considered. - 3 years of experience managing multi-site physician practices is preferred. - Five to seven years of healthcare management experience, preferably in a large group practice. Private practice experience desirable. - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and management skills required. - Extensive knowledge of private physicians office operations, budgeting and financial reporting, medical billing operations and systems required. - Management and supervisor skills required. - Ability to manage the financial and operations aspects of multiple specialty or primary care sites. - Experience with physician billing system preferred. - Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, Internet.
