Ensures cost-effective daily operations and allocation of section resources; develops goals and objectives to correspond with department standards. 4. Acts as a contributing member of the nurse management team. Masters degree in nursing required, Masters in healthcare, or business administration preferred. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington, required. 5 years of increasingly responsible management experience. Extensive clinical and business knowledge of Emergency Medicine is required , which may include appropriate certifications, excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, and understanding of budgets and planning. DVBIC is multi-site medical care, clinical research and education center. It is a unique collaboration of the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system, and civilian partners. The mission of DVBIC is to serve active duty military, their dependents and veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) through state-of-the-art medical care, innovative clinical research initiatives and educational programs. DVBIC is primarily responsible for support of clinical operations in the DVBIC network which includes 10 military treatment facilities, 5 veteran hospitals and 2 community re- entry civilian programs. In addition, the office has visibility and contributes to the expertise of DoD level related clinical activity related to traumatic brain injury.Responsibilities:1. As a member of the comprehensive clinical team, facilitates initial and ongoing input regarding client and family discharge goals as well as available resources and specifics on funding coverage.2. In conjunction with the medical, behavioral and rehabilitation teams, assists in coordination of the client´s individual transdisciplinary treatment plan to meet client and family education and treatment goals.3. In concert with department goals, this leader will develop and implement fiscal and operational objectives that will move the department forward.
