We understand that if our customers are successful and satisfied that we will be able to enjoy long term relationships and referral business through those relationships.The Training Specialist, PL7 promotes DSS, Inc.´s mission by providing the highest level of client care and training to our VA customers. This position effectively supports and trains VA PL6 clients in various situations related to the use and training of our products and services, and resolves issues related to configuration, use of products, reports and data. Incumbent must be willing to accept coaching in order to remove barriers and have effective working relationships. Incumbent must also be willing to travel on a frequent basis (approximately 36 weeks per year). In addition, the incumbent is responsible for written and verbal communication with clients, documentation of work activities and work processes. SKILLS and ABILITIES:* Minimum of 3 years proven Training Experience* Excellent Communication and articulation (medical and technical terminology)* Must have billing coding background/certification* Basic knowledge of healthcare helpful* VA experience preferred* Ability to Travel 75% +/-RESPONSIBILITIES: * Travel approximately 36+ weeks per year, to include weekend travel when deemed necessary (abiding by DSS established travel guidelines). * Coordinate/conduct pre-training conference calls to exchange information related to the Training services you will be providing and information you need in order to conduct these services. * Provide follow-up services with our clients. This includes telephone and/or web cast training as needed or required. * Prepare post training reports along with our business partner and forward according to guidelines* Develop/maintain/upgrade-training manuals and distance learning applications related to the projects assigned and assist documentation specialist(s) in preparing publication of training materials. * Maintain a record of all company expenses. Be sure to keep any DSS reimbursements.* Coordinate travel plans (air, rental car - abiding by DSS established travel guidelines). * Submit travel itineraries in a timely manner (as soon as they are paid for and confirmed). * Submit receipts and monthly expense reports in a timely manner (within the first week of each month). * Attend meetings and conference calls at the request of the PL and Training Manager.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Minimum three years experience with combined skills.* Minimum BS Degree and/or Experience may be accepted in lieu of education* Ability to work effectively (maintaining accuracy and sensitivity) under tight timelines and schedules* Ability to sense the importance or impact of issues and situations and take appropriate actions* Ability to work from an organizational perspective as well as independently and as a contributing team member. * Possess excellent listening skills and a commitment to communicating in a clear, concise and timely manner at all times* Possess exceptional skills in partnering with clients\staff and in developing and maintaining long-term supportive relationships* Ability to organize time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities* Possess proven aptitude for understanding technical process and the ability to learn new software as needed* Ability to be effective in a rapidly growing organization* Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)* Ability to handle large volumes of email (approximately 25 to 50 emails daily.)LICENSES AND REQUIREMENTS: * Certification(s) (if relevant or applicable).* Coding/Billing* Valid Driver´s License.* Ability to Work in US.* Subject to Background Check and Clearance.* Government Course RequirementsFULL-TIMEENVIRONMENT:Professional office.
