Director of Billing Systems Integration opening in Washington, D.C.!
Emergency Medicine Associates, a dynamic practice management company with contracts in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., is seeking a person to run a large medical billing practice. The Director of Billing Systems Integration (DBSI) is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the billing processes including coding, customer service, electronic data acquisition, data entry, commercial/managed care billing, chart reconciliation activities, hospital interfaces, support services and remote office personnel. The DBIS is also responsible for the success of the revenue cycle, oversight of the retrieval of all patient encounter records, timely and accurate coding, timely charge entry and A/R management, oversight and knowledge of the electronic claims submission/remittance activities including clean/failed claims percentages, number and percentage of re-bills and coordination with collection agency services. The DBIS must also interact effectively with external vendors, manage automated reporting processes and prepare executive management reports. Requirements:The qualified candidate must have a very strong IT background with continuous focus on automating processes and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The candidate must have at least 5 years of medical billing management experience, a Bachelors Degree, excellent analytical skills, knowledge of the statutes related to HIPPA, and be able to handle difficult situations with insight and professionalism. Excellent leadership, coaching and communications skills and the ability to efficiently direct workflow are also required.
