400-faculty member Academic Pediatric Subspecialty Group affiliated with University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine is seeking a Compliance Auditor.
Under the direction of the Compliance Manager, this position is responsible for performing audits of documentation, coding, and billing in the teaching setting in accordance with Federal and State regulations and OIG compliance guidelines. The auditor is responsible for performing all audit fieldwork, as well as preparing written and oral communication to the Manager on the results of audits performed. Other responsibilities include assisting in the development of educational programs for faculty and residents audit findings, as well as general education on coding and reimbursement rules and regulations. Annual maintenance of the CDM and clinic charge tickets is also required. This position requires an Associate“s degree and at least five (5) years experience as a compliance auditor and/or educator, and current coding certification (CPC, CCS, CCS-P). The successful candidate will have an expertise in Evaluation and Management documentation and coding, and experience in procedural coding. Demonstrated ability to explain complicated coding and compliance concepts to physicians and staff and excellent written and verbal skills are required.
