We are privileged to work with Mercy Health Partners, an 8-hospital organization located in Knoxville, Tennessee, in recruiting a leader to oversee the systems cardiovascular services. The Regional Health Service Line Leader for Cardiac Services will drive, lead and plan efforts in collaboration with senior medical and administrative staff to establish the mission, strategic plan, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans and policies for the service line. Responsibilities include increasing efficiency of cardiac services; physician interface; interdepartmental coordination; assuring high quality of care; developing and overseeing all public relations and marketing efforts; planning, directing and coordinating all cardiovascular initiatives; and achieving overall growth and profitability. Key qualifications include: Bachelors degree required. Masters degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field preferred. Ten years of experience in successfully managing complex health and patient care delivery. Experience with public relations, strategic planning and business development. Knowledge of and experience with heart programs. Relevant experience could be acquired in a large cardiology group, a heart hospital or a cardiac service line within a complex healthcare delivery system. The ability to successfully and positively interact with physicians is essential. Strong financial analysis and management, long-range planning and negotiation skills essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
