Directs all activities associated with the Medical Records Department including medical records, coding and compliance and transcription services. Develops standards which ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations regarding medical records. Serves on the Medical Records, HQIC and Medical Record Review Committees.EDUCATION REQUIRED: Formal education in Medical Records sciences or a combination of education and directly related work experience.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Accredited or registered, based upon successful completion of examination requirements of the American Health Information Management Association.CONTINUING EDUCATION & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: CE requirements as mandated by American Health Information ManagementEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years supervisory experience in medical records
