The hospital campus features four medical office buildings, two pharmacies and the offices of more than 100 physicians.Our services include Emergency Services, a Regional Trauma Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, The Womens Center with Level IIIB NICU, the Human Motion Institute, advanced diagnostic imaging, a Diabetes Center and many other specialty care services. We offer the latest in technological advances and we are commited to providing every patient with the highest level of care in an environment where people, compassion, community and integrity are valued.Under limited supervision of the Coding Manager /Director, the Coding Analyst utilizes knowledge of ICD9 CM, and CPT coding principles, ED/ E&M coding as well as financial class requirements in order to accurately assign the appropriate codes within a medical record for reimbursement requirements. Qualifications Education: RHIT or RHIA or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist). Two years coding experience with ICD9 CM and CPT 4, may be substituted for Health Information Management graduate. Licensure/ Certifications: Detail oriented; ability to communicate with Medical Staff and their office personnel; and facility staff. Experience and knowledge to include Medical terminology, knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4 and ED/E&M coding. Prefer RHIT or RHIA or CCS. Knowledge to include Alphabetical filing, and terminal digit filing. Must pass coding competency test. Experience: Two years inpatient/outpatient coding plus six months ED/E&M coding experience is required. (If coding experience is substituted for registry or certification, a total of 4 years inpatient/outpatient coding experience is required.)
