This includes the support of clinical applications in Laboratory (including Pathology), while also troubleshooting problems, providing technical expertise and supporting the user department as requested by both users or vendors alike.The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of recent Laboratory experience with an Associates degree in Health Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting HIM-related applications throughout the HIM departments of the HQ hospitals1. Supports applications in HIM departments in all acute care facilities. Troubleshoots problems, provides technical expertise and supports the user department as requested by the users or vendors.2. Implements modifications to the HIM applications as requested by the HIM users group or required by vendors, analyzing operational impacts within the departments.3. Evaluates new projects to determine scope and priority. Coordinates the design, development and implementation of authorized projects. 4. Supports users departments information needs by designing reports, coordinating data mining through other systems and/or working with vendors for system modifications5. Acts as liaison between the HIM departments and the Information Technology department to resolve problems and facilitate communications.6. Works with the HIM Users group to develop a multi-year projects expectation document that looks to make the HIM department more efficient7. Provides user training and documents system design, as required. 8. Provide a report, to the Director of Financial Systems as well as the Corporate Director of HIM, with issues and recommendations for improvement to operations, on a monthly basis.9. Maintain knowledge of hospitals billing systems and how the HIM systems support the billing process. 10.
