Phoenix Children´s Hospital is the only specialty children´s hospital in Arizona and it is poised to become one of the foremost pediatric hospitals in the nation. The hospital is home to the state´s largest group of pediatric specialists and sub-specialists. Currently a 345 bed facility, new construction plans were unveiled in October 2006 that include the building of two new patient bed towers and expansion in bed capacity and other key programs and services over the course of the next several years. Primary Purpose: Assists physicians, allied health practitioners, and medical staff leadership to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies through credentialing and re-credentialing activities. Monitors and oversees compliance of policies, governmental regulations, credentialing requirements by the medical staff. Assists the medical staff committee chairpersons in fulfilling their respective committee and departmental responsibilities for the organized medical staff. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: -Bachelors degree in a related field.-Certification as a Medical Staff Services Coordinator.-Five (5) years experience in the medical staff services field.-Two (2) years supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications: -Experience in budget preparation and control.-Experience with hospital organization, policies and procedures, medical staff bylaws, and Joint Commission standards relating to medical staff and quality assurance.-Experience with medical staff quality assurance processes, including peer review activities.
