Brack Emergency Room Responsibilities 1. Transports patients to and from designated locations as directed. 2. Assists patients in getting on and off wheelchair and stretchers, using good body mechanics and proper safety procedures. 3. Delivers equipment, documents, and other materials to designated locations as directed. 4. Cleans and maintains wheelchairs, stretchers, and any equipment with which he/she works. 5. When not transporting or delivering, the Transportation Aide will assist in the department as directed. 6. Inspires confidence from patients, visitors, families, physicians and associates by performing and communicating in a highly professional manner at all times. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 6 months of experience in a acute care setting. Skills Ability to read and write English is required.
