Campbell Clinic P.C., of Memphis and Germantown, Tennessee, in searching for a proven health care executive to serve as the chief executive officer of the practice.
Campbell Clinic is a 38-physician sub-specialized orthopaedic group with four office locations in the greater Memphis market. Campbell Clinic is a regional service provider with its principal office in Germantown, Tennessee, adjacent to Memphis. Services include a residency program, physical therapy, MRI, DME, urgent care and an ambulatory surgery center. Campbell Clinic has a rich 100-year history in orthopaedics, including the organization of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee Memphis. The physicians in the practice serve as the faculty of the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Responsibilities of the CEO will include assisting the physician owners with governance of the practice enterprise and the Clinics ambulatory surgery center, strategic planning, succession planning, guiding the practice through the health care reform movement and working on a daily basis with the exceptional management team the Clinic has assembled. The CEO is also the executive director of The Campbell Foundation, a 501(c)(3) certified charitable trust that provides residency training at the University of Tennessee Medical School. The CEO will be responsible for leading and directing the staff, including the CFO, COO, and the Clinics administrative team in management of all the business, human resources, clinical, financial, strategic, compliance, and regulatory aspects of the practice. A track record of successfully managing a large and complex health care entity is essential, as is possession of the leadership skills to guide and motivate members of the staff. An advanced degree in health care administration, business or financial operations is desirable. Prior orthopaedic group practice management experience is important, but other relevant experience will be considered.
