UK HealthCare, a comprehensive healthcare system that is experiencing tremendous growth, consists of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare facilities include UK Chandler Hospital, Kentucky Childrens Hospital, UK HealthCare Good Samaritan Hospital, UK HealthCare East, Kentucky Clinic, Kentucky Clinic North, Kentucky Clinic South, 80 specialized clinics, 143 outreach programs, and a team of 6,000 physicians, nurses, pharmacists and health care workers all dedicated to patient health. In the past four years, revenue has increased by 40%. In addition, the healthcare system is expanding through the construction of a new hospital, which is underway to replace UK Chandler Hospital and potential future acquisitions.Executive Director for Informatics UK HealthCareThe selected candidate will report to the CIO/AVP for UK HealthCare Information Technology Services as part of the IT Executive Leadership Team, work to assess the current information systems organization and technology and to ensure an organizational structure, systems infrastructure, and business direction to guide future information technology investments in support of UK HealthCares mission, values and goals.Responsibilities: -Directs IT Informatics function, which includes Informatics, Analytics, System Optimization, Transformation with IT, and Benefits Realization. -Leads organizational improvement through IT use. -Assists UKHC in becoming a Top 20 Institution. -Participates in IT Strategic Planning including the development of technology strategies which enable cost effective, ubiquitous healthcare connectivity and computing in a large and highly complex regional and community health system. -Establishes programs and processes to develop solutions to customer requirements and solve underlying problems. -Participates in and contributes to overall budgets for ITS. -Analyzes the financial impact of system optimization decisions and recommendations.Requirements:-Masters Degree-10 years related IT experience -Prefer certification in Major Improvement Methodology (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, Baldrige)-Strong track record of passion for organizational change through IT leadership-Executive presence and impact-Strong influence/persuasion skills-High integrity-Strong change agent skills-Effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication-Complex problem solving/conflict resolution-Customer service, staff development, budget administration, department administration
