The Executive Administrator is the departments chief administrative officer and will manage budgets, financial reporting, revenue cycle, tactical and strategic planning, government grants and contracts, medical research, clinical services, information systems, human resources including physicians and staff, space allocation and building requirements, and all business practices of the Department of Pediatrics. As the position enjoys a joint appointment the University of Pittsburgh, the opportunities for professional interaction, growth and development are unparalleled for the professional with the background, experience, drive and energy to meet the challenge!We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:- Masters in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field is required. -Ten years of experience in a leadership role in a health care setting, emphasizing accounting systems, knowledge of third party billing and reimbursement mechanisms, grant and contract administration, financial reporting, internal controls, operational management, information systems, and business planning are required. -Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, CEO, CFO, corporate, university, hospital administration, and other senior leadership. -Advanced knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to physician BU management, preferred. -Prior experience in an academic medical setting, preferred. -Prior experience in pediatric administration, preferred.
