JOB SUMMARY Under administrative direction of the Vice President Controller Hospital Operations, analysis and reports on the financial operations of company´s lines of business - specifically hospital operations. Heavy focus on reporting operational results at month end and quarter end. Additionally responsible to assist individual facilities in any and all financial matters on an as needed basis GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Analyze hospital operating results on a monthly and quarterly basis through review of system generated reports along with ad hoc queries of the HCA data warehouse. - Compilation of routine weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for presentation to senior management- Act as a liaison to HCA in companywide system issues and changes. - Provide analytical support and review for all the corporate departments.- Assist in due diligence on potential acquisitions. This includes providing substantial input into the acquisition model and developing a transition plan post acquisition.- Assist in the integration of new acquisitions in the LifePoint processes and month end close.- Help to assure the integrity of the Field Balance Sheets through management of the Post Closing Review Process and periodic Balance Sheet Reviews.- Provide support to the facilities and divisions in the preparation of fiscal year budgets and month end close procedures.- Integral in the monitoring and regulation of standardized chart of accounts and statistics.MINNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Undergraduate degree in Accounting required: advanced degree in Business Administration (MBA) desirable.- Knowledge of financial management and analysis, specifically in healthcare finance. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle operations at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
