THE OPPORTUNITY The Senior Consultant, Clinical Service Delivery will be responsible for working with the client organizations to pursue operational improvements and efficiencies, support the development and implementation of clinical assessment/process improvement and redesign as well as overall facility operational and financial improvement. This position will provide input toward identifying the best clinical and operational improvement practices for the client organization. The Senior Consultant will pursue opportunities that add value and eliminate waste and redundancy for client organizations. This position will work with senior management to pursue new lines of business, new products, and new services to provide maximum value to new and existing clients, and help retain current business for QHR. SCOPE OF POSITION • Works with QHR Leadership to plan and deliver resources to clients, within fixed fee budgetary guidelines, including reviewing consulting reports and providing feedback for improvement.• Assists company leaders with developing delivery capacity to meet client service needs in a financially responsible manner.• Develops consulting services and delivery models to successfully meet the needs of the current and new target clients.• Provides consultation, recommendations and at times implementation of pertinent procedures, standards, and regulations for nursing and ancillary nursing staff.• Directs the client hospitals in the summarization, documentation, and presentation of findings and conclusions resulting from the analysis of operational data.• Provides support for clients on selected projects, including supervisory and advisory responsibility of consultants and analysts related to client management. • Deconstructs client processes, assess operations, and implement recommendations for developing baseline measurements to track improvement. Works with hospital administration, nursing leaders, physicians, and other client staff to review findings and identify improvement opportunities. • Understands and advises clients on contemporary, larger hospital issues, and overall healthcare issues. Interacts and functions as a colleague with Administrators and C-Suite level employees of all healthcare organizations.• Works with Account Managers, Business Development, and QHR Leadership to identify revenue growth opportunities with current or new clients.• Creates, coordinates, and facilitates internal communication related to the progress of assigned projects. Coordinates meetings and supporting materials to conduct analysis, tasks, and final product for the client. • Functions as project leadership on assigned projects, including focus on coordination of initiatives related to process improvement, redesign and client engagements as needed.• Assists in creating and implementing new operational process improvement and redesign tools to improve client operations and productivity. Trains analyst and consultant staff on new operational tools, analyses, databases, productivity, and tracking methods.Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Must have knowledge of CMS and JCAHO, nursing and emergency operational standards and guidelines, medication management and models of patient care delivery.• Must possess excellent facilitation and project management skills.• Must possess superior problem solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong knowledge of productivity calculation process, improvement methodologies, and hospital department operational parameters and definitions. • Highly developed interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.• Change management skills are critical. Must be able to work independently within stated goals and objectives and have the commitment to achieve those goals and objectives. Must be a team player.• Advanced experience with MS Excel, MS Access, and other database applications and tools essential.• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (60%).• Position is Brentwood, TN or Home-Based.EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION• Master´s Degree (MBA, MHA) Preferred. Bachelor´s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business, Communication or related field, required.• Minimum of five (5) years experience directly related to healthcare. Experience must include healthcare operations, project management roles, healthcare consulting, and strong healthcare analytic responsibilities with hospitals, hospital systems, academic medical centers, and medical clinics.• Minimum of two to five (2-5) years Project Management experience in a healthcare setting. Project management training or certification desired.• Minimum of five (5) years experience directly related to creation, manipulation, and management of complex data sets, analytical tools, and database applications for healthcare organizations.
