Las Colinas Medical Center has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Plant Operations!

As the Director of Plant Operations at Las Colinas Medical Center, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing all functions of the plant operations department, to include managing compliance to regulatory requirements (JCAHO, CMS, NFPA, etc.). You will also serve as the Environment of Care (EOC) Safety Officer and hospital security officer, as well as lead the hospital disaster program. This role is supported by a staff that includes a life safety officer to assist in standard compliance, a facilities coordinator to coordinate administrative functions and an EVS manager.Requirements:Requires at least 7 years of facilities leadership experience in a hospital setting. Stationary Engineer performs a variety of duties including: A. Operate and monitor all plant equipment.B. Test and adjust water-conditioning equipment.C. Maintain required operating logs, records and meter readings.D. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the machine rooms and work areas.E. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and utility systems. Qualifications Education:High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience:• 1-2 years as a Stationary Engineer• Ability to read, understand, and utilize technical manuals and operating and safety procedures.• Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to equipment including, but not limited to, various pumps, valves, piping systems, air handlers, boiler controls, chiller controls, pneumatic controls, electrical controls, air compressors and various types of refrigeration equipment.
