The new Midwest Cancer Care center at Menorah builds upon the strengths of Menorahs current programs and treatments, including its medical-surgical inpatient oncology unit, medical oncology services, radiation therapy center, the Sarcoma Institute, the Breast Center and some of the most advanced technology in the metro area.We are the only facility in the greater Kansas City area to offer CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery and are known for excellence in: Breast cancer and breast imaging, Gastrointestinal cancers, lung cancer and sarcoma cancer.Menorah Medical Center currently has an opening for a Director of Cancer Services. This position is directly accountable for the integration, coordination and development of the MMC Oncology Departments such as: medical oncology, radiation oncology, CyberKnife, Mammosite, clinical research and our breast cancer program in all operational, administrative and marketing functions. Together with the COO, facility Administration and Division Executives, the Director of Cancer Services is responsible for setting objectives, strategic planning, establishing service standards, budgeting and overall financial performance. The Director will not only be strategically establishing new services by developing and promoting a growth agenda but also serving as a key resource in coordinating cancer services across other service lines throughout the Midwest division. The Director will also ensure the execution of the facility strategic plan - which includes participation with clinical research, quality studies and improvement activities as well as be accountable for ensuring Oncology operations are in compliance with all ACoS, JCAHO and other regulatory requirements.Requirements and Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree required in business administration, nursing or other applicable area. Masters degree preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of program development or service line management experience required; background or experience with oncology services ideal.Planning, organizing and analytical skills required. Ability to work well with variety of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, cancer registry and general clerical staff.
