Employee Health Specialist - Minnetonka, MN Position Description: This position reports to the corporate Director of Employee Safety and Well-Being, implementing and documenting UnitedHealth Groups domestic and international health and safety programs with specific emphasis on infection control, and clinical risk. This position contributes to the Company´s efforts to maintain a health workplace and minimize risk for occupational injury and/or illness. Primary Responsibilities: Assist in development, implementation and monitoring of local and company-wide programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local health and safety regulations (ex. Bloodborne Pathogens, Infection Control, Respiratory Protection and Personal Protective Equipment).Assist with traditional employee safety and health duties relating to training, conducting workplace investigations and internal audits, as needed.Develop evidence-based health and safety training, educational and other communication materials.Act as consultant to internal and external entities, including public health, insurance and regulatory agencies concerning infection control or employee health matters, as needed.Provide consultation on emergency preparedness/response as it pertains to pandemic planning and medical emergencies.Work collaboratively with others in Risk Management to provide clinical consult, including workers compensation and disability programs.Perform predictive analysis based on historical data/measurable health and safety metrics.
