Sr. Project Coordinator- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Has overall responsibilities for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to technology projects for a given business unit. Ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Is responsible for coordinating the management of the team that develops and carries out internal IT projects for assigned business unit(s). Monitors project activities; ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information; and providing consistency in content and look and feel across the enterprise.1. Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available department resources to various phases of the project.2. Establish governance, work plan and staffing for each phase of the project.3. Formulate and define technical scope and objectives of the project.4. Confer with project staff to outline work plan.5. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.6. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.7. Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.8. Coordinate and respond to request for changes from original specifications.9. Coordinate the management of internal and external systems/application development projects within assigned areas from inception to successful implementation:a) Define project objectives, scope, and level of effortb) Develop project strategies and plans, and identify the methods and tools required for the projectc) Get projects off the ground, keep them on track and within budget, and resolve issues with customersd) Monitor progress against plan10. Updates and maintains project plan and Project Reporting Dashboard.Experience - External: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus required. - PMI Certification required or equivalent project management experience.- Ability to manage internal and external development projects from inception to success implementation. - Strong project coordination skills with ability to multitask and manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.- Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology.- Solid understanding of how to leverage business applications for competitive advantage.- Solid understanding of current technologies.- Solid understanding of the software development process.- Strong analysis, design, and implementation experience with technologies.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings. - Ability to communicate needs and schedules to IT and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to.- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels.- Ability to operate under a dual reporting relationship (IT, customers).- Previous healthcare related project management experience required. - Strong management and development skills needed.- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products:- Project- Word- Excel- PowerPoint
